█ After receiving hints about a possible Captain America movie in Iron Man, where some intelligent footage revealed Cap’s shield peaking through the snow, now looks like its a done deal. We will have a Captain America movie. The movie is going to be set in the Second World War, in a multitude of locations (I guess mostly Europe and USA). There will be some “international actors” involved (by international actors I think they mean actors outside the USA). Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely (Chronicles of Narnia) have been hired to write the screenplay. The movie will show how Steve Rogers becomes Captain America. This means were going to be able to see what happened during the Super Soldier program that transformed Rogers in a … well, super soldier. Some of the villains were revealed too. Red Skull and Hydra. And I can quote something very interesting from an interview with Kevin Feige (executive at Marvel Studios). He said “as you know if you read the comic books, the origin of Captain America is really the origin of the Marvel universe … it’s about that time in history when the idea of the superhero began to emerge”. He also indicated that the production will start sometime around June 2010.
