Anime Insider was a monthly magazine owned by Wizard Entertainment, and it was was published 8 years, from April 2003 to 2009, lasting 67 issues. It was first published in form of quarterly magazines named Anime Invasion, in 2001, but at the end of 2002 the magazine started to appear bi-monthly. In the spring of 2003 it was renamed Anime Insider and two years lately, in 2005, it become a monthly appearance.

It is one of the most popular types of anime and manga, being targeted at young male audience/teens, who make up a large part of the anime/manga fans. Its also called the male version of Shoujo. It involves a lot of fighting and action scenes, mostly involving male heroes.
