New York Comic Con & New York Anime Festival: 2in1 extravaganza

11 September 2009 by Andrei One Comment

█ The organizers of  New York Comic-Con and New York Anime Festival announced that starting with next year, in 2010, the two conventions will take place in the same time and in the same location. That is 8-10 October, at the Jacob K. Javits Center in Manhattan. The decision was taken in order to and I quote ‘’to place and sequence our pop culture events in a manner that best serves the needs of our fans and exhibitors’’, as Lance Fensterman, Vice President of… err…  Reed Exhibitions Pop Culture Group.

The two conventions will share a common show floor but will maintain unique programming space and have distinctive guests. And fans will be able to participate at both conventions at the price of only one. So if you want to go to New York Comic-Con next year it cant hurt if you attend some events at the York Anime Festival as well.  More details at www.nyanimefestival.com and www.nycomiccon.com.
