Guin Saga episode 17

With the site down for more than one week and with restoring the posts to fit the new theme, I got behind with the reviews for Guin Saga. The anime reached episode 20 and the last I reviewed is episode 17. So lets jump straight into action. Hmm, there is no Guin in this episode. But there are crime plots and lots of evil schemes. Archduke Vlad orders his captains to kill Aldo after the wedding ceremony takes place. Nice evil thinking, with Amnelis becoming Queen of Parros after the wedding. If Aldo gets killed, she would…

Guin Saga episode 15

We left our gang on that red ship that was heading towards Argos. After Guin is taken by the Ship of Light, Istvan (or Istovan) and the others want to abandon the ship, fearing that soon they will run out of food and water and a weary of a possible conflict with the remaining pirates. They see an island near by and they leave the ship in secret, with a small boat. They arrive on the island, and here comes the romance again. Istvan and Linda, contemplating the waves in a lovely evening. After some very weird and…

Guin Saga episode 13 and 14 review

A double review again. Our heroes plan to head towards Argos, and to achieve this, they must rent places on a boat. They found one and through some tricks, they put Guin on board as well. Things start to get interesting between Aldo Naris and Amnelis. Although obviously in love, Amnelis keeps showing her icy side, denying any feelings towards Aldo. She is more used to handle swords…

Guin Saga episode 11 and 12 review

I got a little behind with the review of this anime, and episode 12 arrived as well. Well, as not much happens in episode 11, I will review episode 12 as well. Starting with episode 11, the story moves on from the Nospherus conflict, and starts to point to some internal affairs of the Mongaul, as we are shown a little of the backstage of the Empire, some…

Guin Saga episode 10

After the death of Marius, Amnelis is decided to end very fast the war with the Sems so she sends spies to find their camp. And indeed they find the camp, which only raises a question: why they did not try to find it sooner? Script dumbness again. They cannot handle tactics, strategies and anything that is related to warfare principles. Not to be blamed too much for…

After a very good episode seven, which started shaky but ended great, I can compare this anime with a great but inconstant football goalkeeper. Making mistakes but doing extraordinary saves that makes you forgot everything he’s done bad. Saying bad things about animation in each episode review i guess is normal by now. Everything else on this anime surpasses its animation. For other anime is the totally opposite. Nothing bad with the animation in this episode anyway. Everything looked OK.
So, we left Guin and the Sems after they won a …

This is a very important episode for Guin Saga, and I expect that my hopes will fulfill and this will be a fantastic episode. The series was rather stagnating for the last episodes but the build up episodes (i cant name them fillers because they are not) were killing me. Now lets see if the animators of Guin Saga managed the same wonder that Peter Jackson and Zeta made for Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, when the orcs attacked Helm’s Deep. That is… a huge, great orchestrated and …

Still building up for an episode 7? OMG! Or maybe not, but i think the best is yet to come. Or this series is so good that I always think it can do better and I expect more. Anyway, four episodes of building up a situation is too much. I have this feeling that the one responsible with the story is afraid not to reveal too much and the story will eventually dilute too much. Wake up dear writer, you only have 25 episodes!
Amnelis sends her best man, Marus, to …

Here I am, back with the review of episodes 3 and 4 from this great anime. Well, I would not had expected a slowdown like this in the story. The things are moving, but very slow. I thought episodes 1 and 2 are the build-up but apparently I can say this about 3 and 4 now. The continuity of the story lacks, but the elements that made me like so much Guin Saga are still here.
After defeating the demon count, Remus, Linda and Guin,  together with a mercenary and a …
