The summer is coming and the frequency of this site’s post have gone to hell. Why? I’m drawing a lot. Plus, somehow, there is nothing notable happening in terms of news or new anime right now. I dont watch any anime right now, altough I plan to see Guren Lagann this month. I will try to keep the small number of visits I had, anyway. So if something notable will happen, I will post it. I live in a random East European country. Or Central European, if you relate to Europe in a geographically fashion. Lets see how I would describe the majority of people in here. Very conservative and narrow minded (stupidly afraid of new), sheep (just sit in line, following others), they cant take a joke (would jump to beat you or even worse), artistic illiterates (they prefer going to a restaurant than buying a book), cheap (they prefer to buy expensive gadgets than fixing their houses), afraid to pursue their passions (they …

The film is directed by Kazuyoshi Katayama, with a screenplay by Hiroshi Yamaguchi & Kazuyoshi Katayama, inspired after the manga ‘’King of Thorn’’ by Yuji Iwahara. What I found interesting is that …

█ Looking at this video with the launching of Windows 7 in Japan (and all over the world cause is a huge publicity all around it + people trying to get over the Vista disappointment), it looks like this OS got a huge chunk of the market even before the actual sales started. Just take a look. Windows 7, kick-ass hardware and anime themed cases. Not mentioning the triple display that made me drool all over the monitor. Now, it has been said that Windows 7 is just Vista SP3, …

With no doubts, it can be said that anime is culture. It belongs to the popular (pop) culture, more precisely. Popular, because it is not meant for an elite audience, although it can be said that between its fans, some are elite fans.
For the general anime public, anime fulfills their needs and it is judged by a few characteristics. Power to entertain, visual appeal and the capacity to make them wanting for more. For a minority from the same anime audience, anime is judged through some deeper more complex perspectives. …
