And here I am, back with the third Conan omnibus from Dark Horse, The Savage Sword of Conan volume three. Wait, where is volume 2? Well, I didn’t bought that yet, due to… unavailability. But I checked tfaw.com, and its available now, so I guess ill order it with the next shipment. So, I bought my copy from tfaw, it is a nick & dent book (I only buy nick & dents when the book is very thick, I don’t dare do this with thinner books or regular comics) which I purchased with $7.98…

Comics versus Manga: the Super-Hero strikes back

First, I want to say that I read both comics and manga. More comics and less manga, actually. Why? Because you can find more quality comics than quality manga. A Conan tale: Red Nails

For me, Conan comics, especially those from 70-80’s, are the epitemy of Conan tales. Savage primordial tales, scary black and white stories of ancient gods, abominable curses, forgotten cities and bloody battles. Some of them may be a little naive, some may have outdated artwork, but reading them give me the thrills that i never get when I read the actual Conan from Dark Horse.
