Windows 7: The Anime Edition

26 September 2009 by Andrei 3 Comments

Windows7█ You all know how in Japan there is this fashion to associate brands with anime and manga. If you cannot sell a product, or if you want to ensure its success, just stick a popular anime character on its package and a figurine inside the box and it will sell like hot bread, even if it sucks.

Now its time for Windows 7 to get its anime character, and more precisely Windows 7 Ultimate Edition, which will come with a special wallpaper and a sound pack for an anime character named Nanami Madobe. Nanami Madobe is a game of words, standing for Nana (Nana Mizuki, the actress that is the voice of Nanami Madobe) and the Japanese word for window, Mado.

Shall we make a bet that Windows 7 will be immensely popular in Japan? It is a great OS, I’m running in here the evaluation copy from Microsoft and its a dream. Some attach penguins, some shinny apples that are not really apples. I will buy Windows 7 even with no anime pack attached. It changed my computer experience and made the daily usage a dream.

I AM A PC!
